MISS SRMS PAGEANT DATE ANNOUNCED: 13 JANUARY 2012

Parents, just a heads up and way in advance but some of you have expressed an interest in the Miss Shoal River Pageant so that you could make hair and makeup appointments or begin the quest of looking for that special dress.

We ask that dresses be age appropriate; dresses need not be brand new as you may rent, borrow or even find slightly used pageant dresses for sale at consignment stores or from older students who wish to sell them.

We do have a Miss, Jr. Miss and Petite Miss Photogenic category as well, so you may want to start taking pictures of your darling daughter. The photos do not need to be professionally taken; as a matter of fact, in years past, we have seen many photos taken by a mom, another family member or friend win. Age appropriate, natural photos do best.

Know that as far as décor goes, Mrs. Caraway and I keep it simple and neutral: gold, silver and white so that the focus is on the girls and not the decorations on stage.

The pageant will start at 6 PM with Petite Miss SRMS, 6th grade.

Professional photographer will be there to take photos for anyone who wishes to purchase them, and winners will be photographed for the paper and the yearbook.
